Andy Warhol's New YorkHerb Lester
In the 40 years that Andy Warhol lived in New York he transformed himself from aspiring illustrator to wildly successful fine artist.
The 60-plus entries capture the places he lived, worked, partied, ate and drank. There's Paul Bochicchio, where he bought his trademark wigs, the Hugo Gallery, the first gallery to exhibit AW’s non-commercial artwork, and even the address of the carpenter who manufactured the boxes which would be printed with facsimile logos of Brillo, Kellogg's and Heinz.
Andy Warhol's New York comes in its own die-cut folder which also contains postcards and a wearable Warhol wig mask.
Folder contains: Map (400 x 690mm), postcards and a cut-out Warhol mask.
