'Funny nostalgia from a parallel universe not entirely unlike ours' Al Murray

'Turns out Scarfolk wasn’t a look back to some 70s dystopia, but a disturbing glimpse of an authoritarian future' Billy Bragg

At last anyone brave enough to visit Scarfolk has the means to find their way around. From the Ritual May Pylon and Inexplicable Leg Mound to the School Of Benevolent Menticide, all the town’s fascinating sites are here.

For those as yet unfamiliar with this most particular region, which has been documented online since 2013, Scarfolk is a town in North West England that did not progress beyond 1979. Instead, the entire decade of the 1970s loops ad infinitum. In Scarfolk, pagan rituals blend seamlessly with science; hauntology is a compulsory subject at school, and everyone must be in bed by 8pm because they are perpetually running a slight fever.

Scarfolk & Environs: Road & Leisure Map For Uninvited Tourists is a large format map that comes in a bespoke folder, with extras.
