The music cities collection
A set of four fold-out guides tracing the cities shaped by David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and the world of 1970s New York. David Bowie’s London follows the places that marked the musician’s early years and later life in the city. Fear City looks at New York in the early 1970s, a period defined by disorder and decline, drawing on the notorious pamphlet of the same name. Down The Road Apiece: The Rolling Stones’ London charts the locations linked to the group’s early career, from clubs and studios to flats and rehearsal rooms. Bob Dylan’s New York Revisited 1961–69 explores the neighbourhoods, venues and streets central to Dylan’s formative years. Together, the four maps present a portrait of two cities at moments of cultural change.
