Persepolis, London

Extracted from London’s Larder, buy yours here.

In an age of homogeneity, Persepolis is a joyous anomaly, a haphazard collection of Iranian finds labelled with colourful laminated messages from owner Sally Butcher. One such message accompanying a box of decorative plates in three sizes suggests “Posh dude fruit plate set for when you have posh dudes around to eat fruit”. It’s an adorably chaotic little corner shop and café, with shisha pipes, sacks of sumac and beautiful nibbed pistachios.
