For almost 40 years Brunos has been an institution in this tough little city, located some 90 miles northwest of Chicago, renowned for their huge pizzas and homemade pasta which has nourished generations of Notre Dame football players and sundry visiting dignitaries. Now in his eighties, Bruno and his wife Rosa still visit the restaurant nightly. If you’re really lucky you’ll find Rosa in the kitchen, making magical pasta and Bruno greeting regulars and new visitors. Brunos has branches throughout the Michana region, but this location, expanded over the years from a small storefront, is the original.
